Independent studio · est. one person

Slow horse,
steady furrow.

Small, dependable work — pulled the whole way, not just to the demo.

Cart Horse Computing is a one-person software and game studio. Strategy games with teeth, mobile games worth a bus ride, and the odd tool built because nobody else would build it.

Everything below is mid-build. Names, art and dates will move.

Rift Command

working title — also answering to Overrun

A real-time strategy game you play out of a deck. Draft your army between skirmishes, commit cards to the map as the front moves, and live with the hand you built. Placeholder copy — the pitch is still being sharpened.

Tower & Tide

mobile · one hand, five minutes

A tide comes in, a tower goes up, and you decide what the water gets to keep. Built for short sittings and no timers, no energy bars, no nonsense. Placeholder copy while the loop settles.

Prototype · playtesting soon
Ongoing Tools

Workshop tools

small utilities, released when they're useful

The scripts and editors built to make the games above possible — content pipelines, balance sheets that talk to the build, a level editor nobody asked for. Some will end up public. Placeholder copy.

About

Fifteen years of shipping other people's software.

I'm a developer with 15+ years in the trade — most of it in enterprise software and web development, the kind of work where things have to keep running on a Tuesday morning whether or not anyone finds it exciting. It taught me pacing, patience, and a healthy suspicion of clever shortcuts.

Cart Horse is where that experience gets pointed at something I actually chose: indie games and small tools, built one honest step at a time. No team, no runway, no roadmap theatre. Just steady work, and the craft of it as its own reward.

There's no publisher behind this. If you'd like to see these games finished — or just want early builds, devlogs and the occasional look at what broke this week — a Ko-fi is the most direct way to help pull.
